Helical Rotor pumps require the Rotor and Stator (wet-end) to be replaced as time goes on, this time frame depends mostly on water quality (ie sediment/sand particles in the water), although excellent water quality will still wear the rubber over time (much like the tyres eventually wear on your vehicle).
Replacement usually take around 10 minutes and is an easy DIY procedure.
